So for all the small guys out there -

I've had a 36 short black trench for a while. I always wished they made a smaller size, just to get the fit that I want (less baggy). But the New York boutique told me recently "No, no, you can get MTM if you want. But RTW 36 short is the smallest we make."

Well, I was in a mall in NJ, and they said, "sure, there are some 34 shorts in Hawaii, we'll get them for you."

So, bottom line, they DO make smaller than 36, despite what NYC might tell you, and if you are a 36 but want a less baggy fit than what Burberry wants for you, you can get a 34.

A couple years ago I was pleasantly surprised and found one of their trench coats in 34S at the Manchester Center outlet store. Needless to say I was thrilled and bought it immediately.

I wasn't aware such a size even existed in outerwear! Nice!

I'm a (slim, think Dolce or Zegna) 36 and I always struggle with outerwear, and end up having to layer to get the right look...

By the way, for less formal country outerwear, Barbour has quite a few items in 34 or XS and will do some alterations.

The thing is, the sizes are insanely off whack. I normally wear a 38-40 in suits, etc. and even a size 36 in Burberry's traditional trench was monstrous on me. Very odd.
