Yeah, I agree. I coped a pair. Hopefully when they are ready for launch, they will provide slimmer fits.

I think it'll really depend on the size you get. I've a 31" waist and thinking about getting a 30.

I'm not sure to understand well. If I pledge $81 there is a chance that I will be able to choose another cut instead of the one that is currently proposed?
Because I really like the project and I would love to participate but I prefer slimest fit.

It's not like there are NO options for finding slim, made in the USA jeans or anything...

People are speculating that because it says if $40k is raised the customers get to pick what else they do. This has me tempted to join in hoping they make a slim straight pair.

You want to give them money for an as-yet fictional product? satisfied.gif

I was going to email them first to see the chances of them making it.

they seem ok, for that price you can't really complain.

of course, i'll wait for 8 years and get them when they're out of style.

Well, I'm willing to take a chance because I don't mind a straight leg fit. Most of my jeans are slim fit so having a pair of locally handmade jeans that are regular fit is not a bad idea.

Edit: I misread...It appears for the initial kickstarter run, they are only doing the straight leg model. They will update their products with other fits in the near future.

LOL at least not for $81. The price point is really attractive imo.

I don't think straight leg fit will ever go out of style. biggrin.gif

So I reached out the the founders of Gustin on when the new cuts would be offered, and here is their response:

So all the jeans purchased through kickstarter will be this one cut. We're developing our online storefront - hopefully it'll be up in March or April.  The new cuts will be available on there.

Does that help?

Thanks,

I just got an email from Gustin through Kickstarter. Their project is a big success. Here is part of what it said:

"Day three was amazing. Here’s the short story:

122 new backers
$11,716 in new pledges
Biggest 3rd day for a fashion project on Kickstarter ever
Fastest fashion project to hit $50k
14th largest Kickstarter fashion project of all time (only 3 days in!)

I read that they also check the production capacity to be sure to be able to have enough ressources regarding the huge success of this project. I don't know how kickstater works but is it possible that they close the project earlier because they can take more orders?
