Question about tan tuxedo

I'm wearing a light tan tuxedo for my wedding with an ivory tie and tan vest. Would it be ok to wear ivory shoes with this instead of the typical dark brown? I just don't like how the brown shoes stand out when everything else I will be wearing is light. Pic below is exact tux setup I'm wearing.

It's a lighter shade of tan. Click link for picture.

I understood what light tan is, but I do not get why you would wear a tuxedo in this color. Looks a bit like "prom costume" to me". Or are you talking about a light tan suit?

Ok nevermind about why I'm wearing this particular tuxedo. I'm asking would it be ok to wear ivory shoes with it instead of brown.

Did you click link to the picture of the tux I'm talking about In my original post. Clearly the man wearing the tux and the female with him appear to be better dressed for something other than prom.

This is unconventional enough that you're probably not gonna get a ton of support for it on this forum. That said, you like it, so if you're wearing it, again, there's nothing that's "typical" to wear with this suit since it's quite an atypical garment. You're in your own world. If you want to wear ivory shoes, go for it.

With all due respect, the "non-black/midnight blue tuxedo with long tie" does scream "HIGH SCHOOL PROM" pretty loudly. A wedding dress not so much.

That looks really terrible. OP, you're going to have pictures taken at this wedding and someday your children might look at them. Don't make them ashamed to have come from you.

This.

You know how we look back at pictures of frosted tips and baggy shirts and square toed shoes from the 90s and cringe? That will be happening in the not so distant future when people start to look back at all the lounge suit-esque "tuxedos" with colorful vests and colorful long ties.

I know the OP wants to know about shoes, however...

I don't think that would be a "tan tuxedo." It shares no characteristics with a tuxedo: it's a single breasted, two button suit worn with a waistcoat and long tie. It has notched lapels that have no unique facing and flap pockets. Essentially, it's a khaki suit.

OP, what type of wedding are you having? Are you set on wearing what you linked? I ask because there may be some better options depending on where and when you're having your wedding and shoe advice would follow.
