Does anybody have more information on MMM dress shoes? What about Line 14 shoes? These don't look like the other MMM dress shoes that I have seen online and I have been unable to find any Line 14 shoes online either.

Anybody have experience with similar MMM shoes or have more information for me?

I don't have any specific info, but I remember reading somewhere a while ago that Line 14 was good material/construction-focused with a vintage feel. In any case, the shoes do look quite nice. You might want to check out some of the traditional English shoemakers, who frequently have vaguely similar offerings.

I'm not sure if those are on ebay or what, but I don't think those are MMM. Line 14 is supposedly the "replica" offerings, meaning they are more or less copies of something vintage they've found somewhere. That said, those look like chunky English or American shoes and not like something from Margiela. Buy them if you like them but I imagine "Line 14" could be some little known brand rather than the MMM line.

No, line 14 isn't the replica offerings. A few clarifications about Margiela numbers:

0: collection artisanale for women & men (the couture pieces shown during the haute couture presentations, sometimes the men's line are "0 10")
" ": Défilé (runway) collection for women (entirely white label, the original collection, it used to be synonymous with line 1 but hasn't been so since 2008)
1: the collection for women (more intellectual and process oriented line)
3: Fragrance (came out 2012, developped by L'Oréal)
4: a wardrobe for women (more dressy and "timeless" stuff)
mm6: garments for ♀ (used to be just 6, these are the basic garments collection is also called "basic garments for women")
8: eyewear collection
10: the collection for men (equivalent of line 1, started in SS09)
11: a collection of accessories for women & men
12: fine jewellery collection (the equivalent of say Dior Joaillerie, so pricier stuff made in partnership with Damiani)
13: objects & publications
14: A wardrobe for men (equivalent of line 4, started SS05)
15: mail order
22: a collection of shoes for women and men (started in AW05-06, previously were in line 1 and 10 so I dunno where the 14 for shoes could come from)
Sartorial: capsule collection part of line 14, basically pricey menswear suits done the traditional way, blingbling gold lining with the words Martin Margiela
Replica: collections 4 and 14 often include "replica" items, you'll see the word on the tag and they're reproduction of vintage objects and the origin is mentionned in a short text
Aids t-shirt: a series of tees to provide money to french charity AIDES fighting, you guessed it "aids", there is a text you can read when the tee is folded but not when you're wearing it.

On the labels you have the numbers from 0 to 23 with the appropriate collection circled but not all of them are in use.

To come back to the shoes in question, AFAIK there were never line 14 shoes, line 14 has never been written like you see in the pictures and if it is something from Sartoria well the shoes would be recent and have MMM somewhere in gold lettering. I would not believe they are Margiela but everything is possible, especially if it is a weird sample.

Thank you all for your input, it has been really insightful.

More information about these shoes:
-there are no markings besides the LINE 14 depressed into the insole and the stamp on the leather sole
-there are no stamps that you typically see inside the shoe with information on size, brand, product line, or where the shoes were mad

There are no markings or indications that these shoes are MMM besides the insole. The quality and construction on these rules out fakes but I am definitely willing to believe that these are not MMM. However, the font of the 'LINE 14' script matches the common font used on MMM products. The 14 incased by the circle is the same as other Line 14 labels. Has MMM ever made custom or bespoke shoes? The absence of size, model, and other markings might be indicative of a custom shoe.
