Anyhoo, Lunarterra Arktoss boots arrived. Cool idea, horrible, horrible construction. You are basically shoving your feet in the boots praying it won't rip (you can hear the sounds). The tabi idea was cool, but I am 99% sure the development team did not test it out. those 'socks' are freaking ratchet, and will cling to you like you owe them money. I have never, ever spend this much time and energy putting on and off footwear. 10 hole docs that I had to untie 3 sets of loops were better than this. Side zips are useless
On the positive note, soles are chunky, weight is light, and is waterproof. I will probably toss away the inner socks and put some shearling footbed. Oh , and they have side zips which works perfectly when you don't wear the inner tabi.
ps. Timed record:
With tabi socks- Putting boots on: 1 minute
Taking them off: 45 seconds
W/O tabi socks- Putting boots on: 11 seconds
Taking them off: 11 seconds
Yeah, those are better. Bo Jacksons. I remember when those first came out when I was a kid, and liking them better than Jordans. My brother has a pair he found for like 30 bucks at a Nike factory store. I don't think they're big sellers.
