Is it Southern self-hate that's stopping you? If I lived in the South, I'd wear linen all the freaking time.
No, they never look good after 10 minutes of wear. I know you see the obnoxious wrinkles as character, I see them as wrinkles.

Have you tried the really heavy Irish stuff? Doesn't wrinkle so much. In fact, I'd say my lightweight fresco wrinkles more.
It's the anti-fuuma tie, I couldn't think of anything that would be in more contrast to your aesthetic.
That's a bold statement the 8/9oz fresco holds up surprisingly well.
NOBD that is nice but you should not be wearing suede shoes in the summer. Ginger suede is the only possible exception.
Last time I wore it with a white shirt and the mid-blue fresco we both have. Maybe a khaki fresco suit is in my future!
problem is, nobody makes it.
How about wheat fresco? I think that is a great color. Pretty close to khaki.
My feeling is that if you are going to go tan/khaki/gold in the summer, you ought to go linen or cotton. Fresco, to me, is inherently more of a city/business appropriate cloth.
Black shoes with brown suits is actaully and "advanced" move that I do sometimes.
