Since things are slow (I'm working in posting now so will have a little haul, nothing amazing) in a few, BUT do you guys like the "wood background on the auction or does it just look like a stupid image?

Thanks!

At first I thought you meant your backdrop and I didn't see the difference :)

I'd say without.

Related question:

What do you guys use for templates on eBay? I'm not a high-volume seller or anything, but I definitely need something cleaner. Do you guys use a specific program or just use some eBay provided materials I'm missing? If you're using a specific program, what would you recommend.

I know very little about HTML code, so I created my template in an HTML builder that requires absolutely no knowledge of HTML. Its just a webbrowser called SeaMonkey, but it has a built in program called "composer". You may want start with the code of someone else's ebay template just to have a starting point, but you obviously should make significant changes.

Thanks for the info,. I am looking for some alternative templates, very much appreciated.

It without, any suggestions to spruce it up or make it look "more professional"?
I may have looked too late, but I couldn't find a difference.

Suggestion:
I would try to find/make a plug for that mannequin's neck hole. Even just covering it tightly with fabric or something would do the trick.

EDIT: Now I see the wood. I like it. Then again, I am a hardwood floor fanatic. Maybe a little lighter shade if there is anything available. The blue header gets a little lost, not completely...just a little.

I like the contrast you get with a background, but not that particular background itself.

Updated it with a lighter color wood. The top header which is blue always changes to usually mesh with the color of the item for sale. Thanks for the input

This is an interesting strategy in selling high end menswear:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/FREE-PORNO-...836723?pt=US_CSA_MC_Suits&hash=item231c0358b3

look at the rest of this guys auction titles lol
That doesn't actually work, does it? Maybe some people get confused by all of the "BUYBUYBUYBUYBUY!!!!!!" and are bullied into hitting BIN. Perhaps more confusing is the pricing. No one would actually pay $1000 for an old Brioni suit, would they? Guess he's just waiting for that 1 right buyer.

He has nearly 2000 feedbacks, I am sure his odd presentation style has costed him thousands of dollars in sales.

I've just recently started selling stuff on ebay. I thereby have a new account without any feedback. ebay therefore limits my listings on a monthly basis. I guess you all know about this.

the problem I have been facing is the following. I have reached my limit this month so I have to wait another month or sell some stuff te be able to list more. This isn't really the problem ( even though it's quite annoying ) the problem is I can't revise or change my current listings. so I have already payed to list, but if I revise my add I can't list the changes. It just says; "you can't list... you have reached your monthly limit"

this is quite annoying. I have payed for these listings but now I can't change them or drop the price.

is there something I can do except for selling stuff or removing already payed for listings?
I cannot call US costumer service because I'm located in the Netherlands. I can only Email my question and the response time is really slow. any tips?
