Quote: This was my thought as well. You have to be careful about leaving a comment referencing the shipping cost though as with a little smooth talking a seller could have that removed under ebay guidelines for feedback...just need to get the right person on the phone.

I'm still happy with the purchases even with the shipping cost, but it just bothers me to no end considering I do everything I can to make sure my customers are happy..... guess I'll give him till end of the day before paying and seeing how much the actual shipping cost...

Seller finally came though.... $7 for the 3 shirts via "economy"....not sure how he's going to ship economy, maybe parcel post so it takes longer although that usually cost more then priority mail.... who know. I would have been happy at $10 for all 3. Win!

There's an economy option when you ship at the post office... It would be cheaper to ship Priority, I suspect.

As Wes said, if you win a SNAD case the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs....just how it goes. If you do not ship the item back, the seller has no obligation to send you a refund and even if you win initially, after a certain amount of time ebay will close the case in the sellers favor due to the item not being returned. Also, tracking is required for proof of the return (just the same as when the seller shipped you the package to start with). Its a pretty straight forward concept.

Wow, that's shocking and almost seems unfair. I'd be pretty frustrated if I was misled into a purchase and then was expected to pay to send it back.

SO annoyed right now

What good honest ebay seller does not combine shipping???? $5 to ship 1 shirt from NY to NJ.... OK, but I won 3 shirts and they want $15. Am I crazy to think that is CRAZY!?

My reply after being told they do not combine shipping

Opinions on how to handle this? Shirts were won on the cheap, but still, I dont like being ripped off on shipping nontheless.

PS - Feel free to tell me I'm wrong. I would not ask for a "discount" for single item with high shipping after winning (only speaking with the buyer before the auction ends), but is it not a fair assumption that multiple items will be combined in one box? I did not think that would even be a question.

Had a similar event last week, purchased two dress shirts from the same seller. $6ish per shirt for first class shipping, I asked for a price on combined shipping and did not get a response. I requested an invoice with combined shipping and received 2 invoices with each individual item with the $6 per. I then went back to the auctions, noticed there was nothing in the text regarding combining shipping and decided to just pay the cost. They each arrived in individual gray tyvek bags.

Where it really, really gets confusing is the short and long sizes. Not all countries use the S and L to indicate small or large. I copied this from suitsupply. For example, a European 48 is an American/U.K. 38. But a 24 is American/U.K. 38S, while a 94 corresponds to a 38L and so on.

Interesting, thanks for the additional information.

Quick one for the more experienced folks: Spoo had mentioned how a Short or Long has a significant impact on sale price. What about odd size SCs? I'm talking literal odd sizes, 41, 43, 45, etc. I'm guessing most buyers search or filter by their size, and most places that measure you plug you into an even number.

I have better luck setting those up as 30-day BIN or BINOBO listings vs. auctions. Without the large audience some sellers have, I'd be lucky to get a single bid in 7 or 10 days. That said - I just noticed I have a 41R Loro Piana blazer on auction (not sure why I listed it as an auction) with 1 watcher - so - that tells me it probably won't even sell.

Any Seller would encourage good will by offering combined shipping. Obviously they wont be on your radar anymore.
