Hello.

I've been reading the forum for a while and recently I have been trying to find a bag for my commute and work, I used the search but haven't found quite what I am after - so I thought I would "take the plunge", register and so this is my first post :)

I am looking for something that will pass as smart enough for the office but it has to be able to fit change of clothes, a small laptop and a large lunch pack

. Since I commute and often wear a blazer, I would like to have the option of using handles to carry the bag. I prefer some sort of cotton type fabric, but I am fairly flexible with this.

I've been looking at some tote bags but they tend to be too dear (over £150), often too small and too 'slick' or femenin looking - the best option I have found is Timberland's but before I go and spend all this money - I would really like to see what else is out there...EvilBay seems to have quite cheap options but I reckon the quality will match the price to some extent and given that I will be using it everyday it's probably not going to do (?).

Filson is a good option, another good option is a vintage Coach bag from eBay.

Thank you all for the replies, Filson is definitely a favourite of mine but the prices in the uk are far above what I can afford to spend on a bag (£300-400! that's nearly a months rent).

Any suggestions for more affordable alternatives?
