I swear my boss randomly decides to make tiny changes to various processes just so he has a reason to correct us.

Property developers who claim that what they are building is high spec, but the only high thing in project is the price.

I spoke with a developer who is doing a project, where price per sq ft. 500$ and he claims that the project is ultra high spec., but after asking a couple questions it turns out, that the kitchen has a retail price of 7000$ ex. appliances and I know that he has paid less than half for it.

The penthouse costs aprox. 2.5 million and he can't figure out why he can't sell it, but listing to reason is not an option apparently, idiot.

The mosquitoes are biting in force again and the wisteria stopped blooming several days ago. As much as I love spring, especially in the south, it's all so fleeting. Oh well. There's always next year.

Heh. I never thought of that.

Either way, it's infuriating, especially when it's something I've worked hard to do well. It was on a part of my job where I felt like I could improve, so I took some initiative and found a way to do it better. At some point, we were talking about it, and I mentioned this, to which he responded, "yeah, I have noticed that has improved." This was a few weeks ago, and now suddenly he wants it done ever-so-slightly differently. WTF? Why do I even bother?

I just got back from a great trip to Machu Picchu - The flight(s) to there were great direct flight JFK-Lima Peru LAN is a really nice airline....

but then flying back we had to go through Miami and then American Airlines....


the flight into Miami I was sitting next to this sweet elderly Peruvian woman who warned me about how everyone at Miami International Airport is rude and it'll take at least an hour and a half to get through immigration. I figured she was just being dramatic.. I usually fly international into JFK, and SFO so I figured it couldn't be any worse.

I was wrong... the TSA employees were total bitches outwardly mean and looked like they enjoyed being assholes. There were pushy people in line at immigration acting like they were in a huge hurry but ironically still had to wait for their checked in baggage just like everyone else. All in all we had an almost 3hour layover - but it took about 2hours to get through immigration and the transfer desk. I can only imagine how long it would take if my wife and I weren't US citizens.

On our way to our domestic transfer I think I saw the most families frantically running to get to a flight compared to any other airport I've ever been to.

of course the flight to JFK was delayed...

I didn't, and turns out it was in my bedroom under some other clothes. This was a 1AM diner trip, I was pretty sloshed.

Every time I end up at a diner after a night of drinking I really, really have no business being there. I end up passing out before my food gets there and I wake up disgusted by the appearance and smell of food.
