I recently had a construction issue with my MTO Hoves, and was a little surprised to find Skoak does not cover return shipping in this instance. Well, other than that the service has been good. Albeit, some email inquiries do get lost in the system at times. Maybe I shouldn't make so many of those... ;)

They didn't cover a MTO mistake return shipping? Skoak... :foo:

This case has been looked at and a full refund offer for the shipping has gone out to the client @MoosicPa. In this case we made a mistake. It was not due to lack of intention to provide great customer service, it was because a mistake in communication on our part. Mistakes do happen, we're only human.

Return shipping is the clients responsibility but when we receive any reclamation we look at each case individually and see what the problem with the product is. We also have a dialogue with the client and the maker in order to take action, most often we send the shoes to the maker for repair or remake in worst case. After this we look at possible goodwill refunds and /or shipping refunds for the clients.

In the very few times a situation occurred once on my end and an instance when the factory made a mistake Skoaktiebolaget has always done right by me. My experiences have always been nothing but stellar.

This is an excellent and underrated boot. Also, it easily trumps an all dark oak Galway, and it is certainly classic. Bravo.
Thanks. It doesn't stand out, but the 1.5 thick leather sole is a perfect match for this boot...good call @Leaves . It would be nice to see it on more boots (and shoes).

I agree. Skoaktiebolaget are among the best shops I've visited, ever. Always nice, eager to help and always as flexible as they can.
