What chukka boots does the styleforum groupthink approve of?

I must be in the minority on SF. I wear a Galibier Super Touring boots. I wanted something lighter than the famed Super Guide mountaineering boots and they are still made by Paraboot in France, nowadays under the Parachoc label. For me, they are classic all around leather boots and no one makes them like that any more. Plastic is all the rage. Ugghhh!

Bargain basement = Clarks
Sneaker like = Common Projects
"midpriced" = Churchs, Trickers (my preferred), APC, Alden, Filippa K, Sanders, and so on.
OMG expensive = John Lobb, St. Crispins

Mid priced = Paraboot, At $400, they don't come cheap but they are a lifetime investment.
