I actually thought of exchanging to different color when I got it new. But then now I'm loving them after a little bit of wearing-in.

Have you got any pics of the black with clothes? I was tempted but not 100% on how versatile they'd be.

an 8.5 would do you best. they tend to run a half size large. i wear 11d in allen edmonds and i ended up with an 10.5 with the db's.

Just picked up the Wolf suede DBs at Tops for Shoes in Asheville. These look better in person than in the picture posted earlier. They look like a slightly darker Sand suede. I also looked at the taupe leather which I didn't care much for.

Just picked up a pair at Clarks store. The sale rep said the color is taupe, but it looks like darker sand color to me? It's suede. Does anyone know if the "taupe" pair on onlineshoes.com is leather or suede? It looks leather to me.

EDIT: I think the leather models normally are referred to as leather in the name, eg, beeswax leather, taupe leather (saw this one today), etc. Likewise, the suede will usually be named, eg, wolf suede, taupe suede.

I'm wearing them with my 501XXs now, that's the closest I've got to raw. Give me a few minutes and I'll grab a snapshot.

Edit: Damn, I have to charge the battery pack. Will be more than a few minutes.

Okay. I think my Powershot flash + photobucket washes it out a bit. These are a little darker looking to me in real life, and the contrast with the shoestrings isn't really that much.
