Can the Polo Ranger "cookie" boots be used as boots for snow and rain?

Thinking of picking up a pair for that expressed purpose?

Regarding the Marlow pricing discrepancy I had to call back and ask him to match the website price, which he did of course, but acted like it was an accommodation rather than an error. Strange. Anyway, 49% off :slayer:

And things get stranger ...

So I got my Marlow PTBs today (ordered from the Chicago store), and was just looking at the box. Sure enough, the sticker on the box says $850 (though the SA rang me up for the $795 price)!

Got my first order in - here are some pics of the Herringbone blazer - Tattersail shirt - Cardigan - Khaki Chinos (I don't plan on wearing the chinos with the jacket, was just trying it on)

Sorry not the greatest photos but I guess they'll have to do. Also I didn't get a chance to iron out shirt or pants yet, literally JUST got the stuff. I realize that the shirt might be a little long in the sleeves. Also sorry for not buttoning the collar button.

So if anyone is wondering, the Herringbone Jacket is pretty thick, in the Rugby.com picture it doesn't seem so thick, but upon wearing jacket it is, however I do not mind that too much since it will start to get much colder very soon. Only thing I wish it included was a throat latch like the NH jackets do, looks dapper. A plus is that they do have working buttons on sleeves.

Rugby's look:

I really wish I had seen these pictures before ordering the jacket. I find it way too bulky. Oh well, it's not the end of the world. Thanks so much for the pictures.

No Problem. I had a size Small, but either way its gonna be a bit thicker than the photo makes it seem, which makes me wonder if the other gray herringbone jacket thats a bit more pricey is thinner and nicer quality...

The other gray herringbone: http://www.rugby.com/shop/item.aspx?productId=11161380&categoryId=11827696&cp=3768060

that one is linen/silk, so it most likely is a lighter jacket.

Thanks, and yeah I ordered this batch literally the hour the sale went live. So it took them about 3 days. Still waiting on the suit.

Yeah the shawl collar cardigan is very nice, the one with leather elbow pads would be perfect.

This was posted on the RRL Thread:

Someone posted two expired codes a few days back. If you screw around with the numbers you can guess a valid code. I got lucky on my first attempt.
EPREFA236394
EPREFA502945

Try your luck otherwise after Nov. 3rd use code NOV0307

The code for EPREFA(Random 6 digit) works but RLBL stuff are not included. Which makes me sad as I wanted to get a suit.

There are probably more than a few faithful RL customers that are going to be very upset when their "individual" code doesn't work.

Awesome, Awesome, Eh.., Awesome

Eh = The PeaCoat.

The first cardigan is probably my fave, however the touch of Monogram on the 4th is nice.. The shetland sweater is pretty decent - runs slim - as does everything they sell

Also: I'm glad I ordered everything I wanted right away, My size in most of the things I purchased has withered away.. particularly the glen-plaid suit
