Wore my Carmina shell today too, well for half the day, as I decided to wipe them down with some Alden Leather Defender.

Gentlemen,

I just got word from Skoak that it is a no go on the #4 balmoral boots.

EB's leather merchant could not come through.

So, I went ahead with this "Mahogany" shade:

What do you guys think?

Thanks.

The color seems close enough. Does it matter to you? Except in the case of telling people that they're the coveted "color 4"? ;)

I, too, had to do the same as I had a norvegese cap toe in color 4 MTO on order. I think the mahogany is beautiful as well and most likely more universal and wearable with many more outfits. So I think I will be satisified, even though I'm not getting color 4 :(
