some people size down, size up, or TTS hahaha

i size down and im still getting slippage lol

^. i ordered tts on the black calf and they are indeed too big. for the loafers, size down a half size from your regular size. fortunately these fit me spot on:

as did these:

both are size 11.5. im a tts 12

great looking shoes.
do the heels in both loafers feel comparable, width wise?

Yeah, I guess I just regret buying, and wearing mine true to size, and want to a) warn others and b) hear someone tell me that actually they'll stretch out tons and I was right buying TTS.

They won't stretch--especially in length. I'm a 10.5C and had to size down to a 10D in the pennies, wings and PTB. the wings and PTB are a little wide but perfect length. The pennies (different last) are perfect width but short in the toe. They work perfectly sockless, but with any sock they are a little tight. But on the bright side, there is absolutely no heel slippage with them.:satisfied:

Today I got my Lindricks (5 days to travel 175 miles). Missed out on the 11.5 and had to settle for the 11. Since the 11 was really a Crockett & Jones UK10.5, the fit was perfect..

can anyone explain the logic of pricing a calf version of a shoe the same as a shell version? the term "sucker" comes to mind.

Most people don't know shell from calf and don't value shell over calf.

How did people get private sale codes early on? Shopping history at stores, or online?

changed the edgetrim on my oooollllddd pair of Darlton wingtips. The black edge trim was cracking and chipping so I decided to change it to a lighter natural edge trim:

Namor: If you have Darlton wingtips, what size in those do you wear?

i take an US 11.5 (12 TTS) in all of the C&J for RL shoozz, however I took a 12 in the Darlton wingtip. I enjoy the super casual, relaxed, comfortable feel of the 12 which happens to look great with jeans. I dont recommend it if you plan to wear with a suit because the wrinkling caused by the mis-size is really pronounced.

The sizing on these is baffling.
I have the pennies and feel as if I should have sized up a half size, but others are sizing down?
Won' they stretch out a bit? like a pair of LHS?

I think it is more personal feel than anything. I went TTS on my tassels and sized down on the wingtips. I could probably do the reverse if necessary. The wingtip is snug and the loafer is loose, but I like a looser loafer if I want to go occasionally sockless (which I do in the loafer).

Since randomkoreandude had some luck - I will try too:

If someone comes across or wants to sell Lindrick's in 8 or 8.5, I will gladly take them off your hands!
