new Yoox codes and sales - post them here - Page 27

b1os, thanks.  I wasn't really clear in my posting, I know my BB size is S with ESF, but that information is not available on the Yoox site.  I was just asking if there is a way to discern what fit the BB shirts on Yoox are.

Fit on Yoox can be a gamble, partly b/c their inventory is so large sometimes they don't even know what it is. Some things I've asked them in the past were (1) RL suits listed for sale, I asked them if it was PRL, RLBL, and RLPL and their response was essentially that they had no idea and couldn't check b/c they have too many suits and (2) whether a suit was a R or S b/c it looked short on the model and their answer was same as #1, although I think most of their suits are R (although some are S length b/c of euro styling).

To make a long answer short, essentially there is no way to tell except to guess based on what it looks like on the model. Typically contacting them won't help. They do have a generous return policy.

Sorry for a slight off-topic.

Two questions regarding one jacket in the Yoox sample sale section:

1. Sample sale now refers to the Fall-Winter (current merchandise) or the Spring-Summer (past merchandise) season?

2. If jacket is half wool/ half cotton, to which season it belongs (if there is anyway to tell, of course)?

Yes, go to the manufacturer's website directly and check there. 

On the item description page, at the top right, it will tell you which season it is. Text will say 'YOOX Collection: Fall-Winter" or "Spring-Summer"; it is right above "Product Info".

You can also search for only one season at a time if you wish.

Thanks, kmdsimpson, but the sample sales items do not have the seasonal categorization, they are in neither of the two seasons' sections.

It's always a crapshoot. Even when items are grouped by season, the season may be wrong.

This sloppiness and indifference SAVES YOU MONEY!!!!!

But a wool-cotton mix is more likely to be for summer than winter.

The pattern, colorway, lining etc will also give seasonal clues.

Probably spring/summer but the pattern/colorway should work year/round in a temperate place like NYC. At the very least it is good for the intermediate 'shouder seasons' in spring and autumn.

 

Just place an order, it worked for US as well. However, the customer service gave me a hard time and would not let me apply to an order placed several hours ago.

Anyone know how the Thompson shoes fit?

They fit TTS. Just order your normal size. Just a quick warning though.....the leather quality is not so good.......My friend bought 3 pairs in last 2 months. He is happy with the price he paid under $100 each pairs. Good value for under $100.
