Hey guys,

First off, not an audiophile - more of a technical/studio/science kind of a guy. I was looking to get a pair of studio monitors, something like Adam ax5 or focal cms 40... Now I love those speakers for performance and durability and they sound really good to me, but they are kind of ugly or at least not as pretty as:

or

I understand that sometimes you cannot have the best of both worlds, but it would be nice :) Any suggestions?

PS I really want an active speaker setup and I believe that bi amped actives are very elegant solution from engineering standpoint, and they just make more sense for my use.

Quad 11 or 12L Active? I'm listening to the passive 12L version right now paired to an older Yamaha receiver and they were on par with the B&W equipment I auditioned about 6 years ago.
