Are you for real? Did you not see the video? Yes, casillas is better than a guy who has scored 13 goals against him  .
Lio is an out-of-this-world player. Hey,  I´m a Real Madrid follower and I think Iker is one hell of a goalkeeper, but he´s not a better player than Lio. And yes, Messi´s  on the ball skills are better than Casillas shot stopping.

How many shots has he had against him to get those 13 goals (bearing in mind one was a penalty and one was a rebound which I would have scored)? How do you compare on the ball skills to shot stopping skills? Or dribbling to passing?

Again, is this for real? You know, in argentina, scoring 13 goals to a single goal keeper is called "tenerlo de hijo", which translates to something like "having him as your son", and iker is lio´s favorite son.
How many players do you know that have scored so many goals to who you apparently think should be the best player in the world?

I don't think he is. I was using him as a point - what criteria do you use to say he is the best footballer in the world? There is no denying the fact that he is an incredibly talented footballer, but is he better at his job than (for instance) General Montgomery was at his? Focussing on football, do you score each player on passing, shooting, dribbling etc and then average the scores? If so how do you decide which weighting to give each skill? FWIW if I could pick three players to sign for Leeds this transfer window I would have 1) Xavi 2) Mascherano 3) Ramos. However to objectively compare these players to each other is meaningless since they each need different skills to do their job and contribute very different things to the squad.

If you're not trolling and not marsupialed, then you're definitely being obtuse.

You're demanding some sort of comparative metric for players when there isn't one and can't possibly be one.

As the US Supreme Court once ruled....how do I know when I see X, Y and Z? I know it when I see it.

For Leeds? Our hard bastard in midfield is much worse than other hard bastards in midfield for the same division than our centre backs are worse than other centre backs for the same division and is much older. Also Ramos can play at right back so he'd be a much better backup for that than Tom Lees or Charlie Thompson are (Charlie Thompson is the 18 year old central midfielder Henry ran rings around on Monday, leading to commentators calling him the best player ever).

Thought you were meaning for Masche to be used in central defense, as has Barça over the last year. Then comparing Masche or Ramos as a distributing central defender, yes I would take Ramos. At CDM, definitely Mascherano.

Actually, Ramos is a right back who just happens to play centerback sometimes.

Nope. He's a centerback who's been used a lot as a right back, and while he has great abilities in that position going forward, he's also a big liability and is miles better when played centrally.

But good enough to stop most English second division wingers most of the time even as a backup? That sounds more than good enough for the context I named him as a right back.
