Suitsupply NYC - Page 30

Went down and checked out the NYC store last week. Great place but they did not have much available in my size.

Really like the fit of most of their suits though. My issue is that the Regular length jackets are a bit long on me. I'm 5'9". They didn't have any Short lengths in my size that I could try on.

For reference, I took a 40 in the Washington style, and a 38 in the rest of their line.

When I got back home I ended up ordering from their website. I went with a Washington in size 40S. I had it shipped to the SuitSupply store and will have alterations done there. I also figured I'd order to the store for a hassle free return should it not fit.

Does anyone have pictures of the Washington fit? How high is the button stance? How padded are the shoulders? Considering buying the Washington right now..

Timotune has posted a lot of Washington-fit pics in the WAYWT-thread a while back... Anyone know when the F/W collection is due ? Really need a solid navy 2b suit, but hoping for a Lazio-cut. I fear the Napoli is too roomy....

HotelGuy posted this a few weeks ago.  http://www.styleforum.net/t/250682/suitsupply-nyc/330#post_5530960  FWIW, the SA at Suit Supply told me the Washington cut is very slim and does not work for guys with a full chest/athletic build.

Can anyone comment on the fit of the suit trousers in the napoli cut through the thigh and seat. Would they be able to accomadate larger thighs? How do they compare to BB Regent fit trousers?

So I just got 2 SS suits in the mail. My first suit as a real adult. I'm a tough fit and was wondering if I could get some second opinions on which one (if either) I should keep.

I'm 6'1", 150lbs with a small chest and narrow shoulders. I originally tried a 38L but it was way too big in the shoulders. So here I have a 38R and 36R.

First up is the 36:

And here's the 38:

First of all, I know that the sleeves on both are way too short.

I like how the shoulders fit on the 36, but I'm wondering if the jacket is too short. And if I did keep the 36, I was thinking about lengthening the sleeves at the cuff and adding a 5th button so it doesn't look out of whack.

Would appreciate feedback from you guys. Thanks.

The 36R looks good if you get the sleeves and back cleaned up by a tailor. The jacket doesnt look too short.

They both actually aren't bad, but the 36 seems like its one steak lunch away from pulling a bit at the button.

If it were me, I'd probably get the 38 and trim it down some.

Strangely the 36 and 38 seem to have the same sleeve length.

+1.  I also like the line of the lapels better on the 38.  Seem flatter and more aligned with the shoulders than the 36.

I heard August or September. Google "Life and Times of C Benjamin" and look for the guy's Tumblr. He works at the DC store and has been posting updates on the photoshoots.

in your recent WAYWRN picture that has a SS suit (the suit where everyone is debating the length of your pants)...what model is that?

To my untrained eye, the 38 looks better in the front pics but a little big across your upper back (part of that may be all the fold lines all over the place). I agree with the guy who said the lapel lines are better on the 38. Both jackets look fine lengthwise. On the 38, how is the sleeve head/cap compared to your actual shoulder? Right on, or hangs over?

Thanks. Interesting tumblr. The model is Lazio. I really need a solid navy number, but they don't feature Lazio anymore, that's why I asked about the f/w stuff. It might be
considered too slim here, but At 6 ft and 156 lbs, I am slim. That's what 6 yrs of marathon training does smile.gif I might try a Sienna from the current collection though given the returen policy.

Go back several pages and look at the Napoli that I bought. I am 6' 155lbs and I went with a 38R. I had the waist and hips taken in and it doesn't feel roomy.

Are the pants on the Napoli TTS?
