Harry Rosen MTM Coppley Suit - Page 2

$1,800.00 for a coppley suit, I'd be expecting something really amazing for that money as you could have received something much nicer from a local tailor. This said I would do as MC said and go above the SA. Insure they know what is at stake for yourself and the implications it will have with your future wife. I find that most people do not want to cross paths with a woman scorned, double that for a bride. Good luck.

With 1800 bucks at play here, I'd be getting pretty nasty with em.

Weddings are followed by lawsuits more often than folks usually think.

Don't waste time emailing coppley - go into Harry Rosen ask to speak to the store manager tell them you are getting married and need that suit come hell or high water. The staff there are generally very good and make good one way or another. Let us know what happens.

I was told by the head SA that the Coppley MTMs are fully canvassed. I'm not 100% sure as to what the feel of a fully canvassed suit is but from what I've read online, the feel of my MTM Coppley is fully canvassed. I got mine from the Harry Rosen at Pacific Centre. Mine came slightly earlier than expected and the final alterations only took a few days. Granted, I ordered mine at the beginning of their trunk sale. Hope it works out for you though sss

So I went to see the manager today and he was in shock when I told him my situation. He then quickly passed me off to my representative who was originally helping me. He helped me pick out a back up zegna suit, but it's not a three piece which I am hoping to wear. I bought a Hugo boss suit a few months back which I think I will end up wearing if the suits not done on time as the zegna color isn't that great. I was soo choked that I just picked whatever, I never saw anything which really caught my eye. The representative showed me on the computer the shipping date which is April 27th. He assured me it would arrive the next day, which I find hard to believe when it's coming from Montreal I believe and I live in Vancouver. It's a wait and see situation. I honestly thought they'd be a little bit more helpful like offer a shirt for my hassle, but I guess not. He even had to ask the manager to put my back up suit aside, which I found stupid as it's their fault and their throwing me under the bus if I don't have that suit.

Phone Larry Rosen --- the owner --- and leave him (or his assistant) a polite message. Do not bad-mouth the SA or the manager. Just explain that you chose HR for your clothes on arguably the most important day of your life, and you want everything to be perfect. Years ago, a friend of mine went to pick up his suit at Harry Rosen on the day before his brother's wedding. A little late, yes. The suit wasn't ready, so the suit was delivered that night. By Harry Rosen. The man, not the store. It's a big business, but it's still an owner-operated business. They want you to be happy, and your order will not get misplaced once a call has come through from the owner's office.

I've dealt with Larry and found him to be very helpful.

So its the 28th today in which the representative said my suit would arrive, and ................................still no suit. Called the store and asked them to look to see if it has arrived in which I have not even received a callback. I called my representative on his personal cell as he is not working and he gave me the same run around that I would have it before my wedding and everything will be fine. At this point I can truly say I am very disappointed with Harry Rosen and would not recommend them to anyone in the future or use them for future MTM suits. I have lost all confidence in their customer service. When I purchased the suit I stressed to my representative the importance of the occasion and stressed I would need it before a certain date. I am going to call Larry Rosen and see what he can do for me.

I'm really sorry you're going through this. It's hard to say who is responsible... probably everyone except you. Can you rent a tuxedo? A good tuxedo rental company can probably have it ready for you in time. If you go that route, ask the store manager to reimburse your cost.

Hey everyone, So I finally got my suit on the day of about 6 hours before the event. I have to say I am very impressed by the suit quality and just love it. The representative was nice enough to meet me at my hotel and make sure it fit properly. Luckily their was no need for any alterations and the pants were already hemmed. They were nice enough to give me a gift certificate for $150. I think I may still send an email to head office so something like this does not occur with anyone else. the weding went beautiful and everything worked out.

...because you will go back and spend way more than $150.

Glad to hear it worked out. That was cutting it too close, but at least everything worked out in the end...

+1........................$150 will buy you nothing at Harry Rosen.

I would definitely get Larry Rosen involved even if after-the-fact. Is this what $1800 gets you????
