Greetings to everyone first, I am new to this forum. I found this forum using google searching for hair styling. All my life I've been cutting my hair very short, nearly bold, but several months ago I decided to get this hairstyle I am going to show you and stopped shaving my hair. I still haven't figured out how to get it, how to style it, what products to use, and where to let the hair grow and where to shave it. Now I have got some amount of hair, but it looks like it still has to grow, especially on the back.

Basically what I want is to style my hair like character Manny Ribera from the movie Scarface, played by Steven Bauer. In that movie he carries few very similiar haircuts to each other, which Is exactly what I want to do with my hair, change between those on daily basis whenever I like. I noticed 3 different hairstyles. Here are some photos:

Hairstyle #1

Hairstyle #2

Hairstyle #3

I don't have time now to take pictures of my hair, but I will take them later and hopefully you will be able to explain and teach me how to make my hair look like these. I don't have a clue how to make any of these haircuts, only the first one, I manage to make it look somehow like it but I can't glue it back good enough like he does, It doesn't hold that good. What I actually do is apply some of my products that I have and comb my here, left side of my head straight to the back of the head, and the rest I comb it to half to the back of the head and half to my right side.

Please help, I've put alot of effort in getting this part done.

style forum doesn't support Image Shack. You need to upload photos from a different site.

Top pics are a modified Pompadour style. You need Pomade to achieve that look. Look at vids on Youtube. On the other pics he's using a paddle brush, not a comb. Since the movie is supposed to be early 80s Miami, he'd be using Gillette The Dry Look spray to hold it in place.

Thanks Will. Now I have to figure out where to cut the hair and where to let it grow. I have to get a cable for me mobile to connect it with pc, then I'll upload pictures of my hair.

Work with a professional hair stylist and have him/her cut your hair the first time into your desired shape. Then you can just go to a lower cost barber for trims once in a while.
