Scotch Sour with fresh (though pasteurized) egg whites. Divine. I use 1.0 oz Cutty Sark and 0.5oz Lagavulin as my whisky, since I like a little, but not too much, peat in my sours.

Some Jameson's 12 yr.
Just got my new bottle of 18, but don't want to drink it all too quickly. Saving one glass for the end of the night.

You're moving up the chain pretty quickly. At this rate, ou'll be drinking $300/bottle of whiskeys in no time.

It's sad that instead of saving money to go to a good grad school or anything, I'll be spending my nights drinking one or two drinks of fine liquor. Not even enough to get drunk, but still $20/pop.

Then again, that's what student loans are for right! PARTY!!

Hitachino Nest espresso stout. Impressive coffee tones, well-controlled bitterness.

Collaboration, the combination of two belgium style beers from Avery Brewing company and Russian River brewing company. I am very impressed, one of the better beers I have had in the past month

I presume the difference is, I never wondered. Vive la difference!

I just made my own version of an Elder Fashioned because I've gotten 2 mini bottles of St. Germain from fashion week party gift bags in L.A. this week (they're a sponsor). I made mine with bourbon instead of gin - I think an old fashioned is a bourbon/rye drink anyways, right?
