Muscle or fat loss?

I lost about ten pounds from last year. I tried out some of my suits from a year ago and now they seem too large for me.
I am lifting and benching around the same weight as before strength wise.
What's going on? Am I losing muscle or losing fat?

depends. difficult to say without pics and more info. you eating less than before, you weight less?

i would be on fat loss if your strength is the same

Look in the mirror, compare to last year. Problem solved.

It's hard to tell. I have been eating less. The weight loss was gradual and I didn't take pictures. I know my arms are noticeably smaller and I have actually gone down from a large to a medium. It just looks like I have shrunk a bit. Don't know if this is normal, or if I should be getting more protein.

Well, where do you want to go? If you want to go back to Large, only this time from muscle instead of fat, then it will take much longer. If you plan on staying M, eat at a slight deficit or at maintainance (google, if needed) and lift heavy. It's called body recomposition (check bodybuilding.com forums) and you'll get lean without shrinking more. Your suit needs some tailoring then. If you plan on going S, then don't buy any clothes meanwhile.

Please refrain from doing this. The idiocy there is rampant.

If you're not getting enough calories to support your muscles, your body will get rid of them. It takes a lot energy just to maintain the muscle, so if it doesn't need it, the body will get rid of it.
