Well, he was trying to get $600 previously, so maybe he considers $499 or make an offer, a bargain. The market might not think it's a bargain though.

If the suit is really NWOT and the seller has a receipt or tags, why not show photos of them? If he's trying to get top dollar for the suit that seems like a good idea.

Really interesting Polo suit in size 42L. The price is definitely right. The only turnoff may be that it's 4 button but it rolls to three. Definitely NOS since it was made in USA. On the bright side, all made in US Polo suit I've seen have full canvas construction.

I think that one of the dangers of this forum is to become more concerned with construction/finishing than with cut and fit
If you like the idea of a 4 button suit, jump, though I would likely feel self-conscious every time I wore it were it me

A bit, I'd say. The short jacket might work better if it didn't have peak lapels, which to my eye exaggerate the lack of balance.
