I've noticed that SF in general has become much more vicious in the last year. Its not strictly his fault as the water level on abuse has been raised across the board.

Don't blame me, I've calmed down lately.

When are you selling GLUU??

In hindsight, I should have never held it. I'll sell at the big 6 dollar resistance and trade it off the channels as I should have done all along.

Any profits I make I'll dump into AMRN and ACTC.

Then again...isn't 5 dollars a share the magic price to attract institutional investors? If we can hold 5 for a while, then I may just trade a half position. Not sure yet.

Lots of buyout speculation on this, but I try to filter that **** out. Hold on waiting for a buyout is a sure way to get sunk

It's 90% luck brah. Sell whenever you want and we'll find out soon after whether your timing was good or not

+1, I've never bought a stock at its absolute low nor have I sold one at its absolute high. With that said, does GLUU have anything that ZNGA would want to buy?? I mean they only need one hit.

I'd say yes. Not all of Gluu's games are the typical "Words With Friends" type games, they are going for more console quality action stuff. Still have a ways to go to get to "console quality" but the games are nice and very impressive already from a graphics standpoint. They are also platform neutral, which would be a big plus for Zynga.

I'm also surprised at the staying power of their older games. Every time Gun Bros gets an update it surges in the charts. CK and CK Zombies too. And Blood and Glory is also a good hit for them.

Their games are featured on iOS, Android, Kindle Fire, Google Chrome, and now, the Mac store. Oh yes Win7 phone too, but seriously, who cares about Win7.

Also, a surprise hit recently came from Griptonite (acquired) called Stardom....really taking off in the teenage girl demographic.

They've also had their share of dogs though....like James Frey's Full Fathom Five Studio's "Nightworld". I have that one, it's pretty fun, but just didn't get any traction for some reason.

One thing that I like though, if they have a flop, they just stop work on it and let it die. I like the idea of constantly updating successful IP while taking the flops out to pasture. Saves a bit of money. As opposed to a more 'traditional' game studio sinking so much money into a 50 dollar game and praying its a hit.

Glu is still losing money because of the feature phone crap, but De Masi has been phasing that out since he came onboard as CEO in 2010 in favor of original smart phone IP, which is far more profitable. Analysts expect them to break even by Q1 2013, but if they keep smashing non-GAAP estimates the way they have been, I expect profitability sooner.

I'd love for them to have a mega hit like Angry Birds, but they have nothing of that magnitude (yet?)....but De Masi has stated he doesn't want to sink too many resources into one title hoping for a hit, they want to release a shitload of games every quarter and focus on those that stick in the charts.

edit: I misspoke...Stardom is Blammo's first title since being bought by GLUU, not Griptonite. Griptonite was a Nintendo DS game studio who are being trained now to make smart phone games. Their studio hasn't released anything yet. The acquisitions of Blammo and Griptonite doubled Glu's studio capacity, but did set them back a year as far as profitability goes. Still, IMO the acquisitions were well worth it, especially Blammo so far (Blammo was started by the maker of Smurf Village, formerly of Capcom - turned out to be a big hit).

Gluu also did a deal with the TOM Group to open up a storefront in China, when that comes online, things should really take off.

I was hoping for Apple's Mar 7 announcement to serve as a catalyst for Glu, but alas, that didn't happen. I was expecting the next gen Apple TV to be an actual TV rather than a stupid set top box, one that will hook up wirelessly to the phones, pads, etc to put the games on the big screen. Serves me right for buying into the Apple rumor machine.

So yeah, increasing revs, decreasing losses, 32 million cash with no debt. And the only publicly traded social media play I know of valued at under 1B. I obviously like this stock :)

What do you guys think of this bofa foreclosure to rental?

I'm a little skeptical, I find it strange that someone who couldn't pay the mortgage would be able to even afford even a reduced rent, or would like the notion of renting the house they just lost to the big bad bank. I figure most foreclosed properties aren't well maintained, and would need constant repairs caused by years of neglect

I still like banks for the long term haul though.

w00t...running strong into the last hour, resistance ~ 4.63, now at 4.77. A close at this level would make the breakout official. Breaking out of a golden cross, pennant, and 6 month reverse head and shoulders....chart is looking beautiful here.

A close at 5 dollars is going to cause one hell of a short squeeze as well, not even counting the fact that 5 dollars a share seems to be the magic price to bring in institutional investors (this is already 70% inst owned), and this sucker is already on the Russ 2k.

My Explorer blew a rod Friday, and I can't see spending more on an engine than what the car is worth, so I was really sweating how tight things would be me buying a new car this weekend. My fears are now alleviated heh.

This may open the bank to a bunch of problems. I mean if you're a renter and not a home owner the home owner who I assume becomes the bank is responsible for all upkeep and maintenance. Plumbing, heating, etc...and if a dispute arises can the renter then take the bank to some kind of landlord tenant hearing. I just think the bank should be in the business of banking.

+1, a world of headaches this seems like it would be.

I'm to the point now thinking, just foreclose on the bitches and doze them over.

+1. There is a school of thought behind this. If all people are doing in a downturn is waiting and waiting for the price to go lower and lower there is no incentive for them to buy. But if you say these things are getting dozed then there's a clock on the wall, either get in or lose out.
