Chair pairing advice

I just purchased this chair:

It will be reupholstered. I plan to pair it side by side with another chair. I have the opportunity to buy an identical chair. What are thoughts on pairing it with an identical chair? What about a similar-style, but a different chair? What about an entirely different style chair?

Any thoughts, suggestions, or recommendations are welcome.

I like it side by side with an identical chair perhaps with a side table in between. What fabric will you be reupholstering it in?

I have never seen side by side rocking chairs, but I think it would still look fine. I think it would look better on the other hand to put it somewhere by itself in the room.

A pale gray. I'd like it to look like this:

Yeah, I'm a little unsure about the side by side rocker. It's a very, very gentle rocker. It really doesn't particularly move very much.

Why do they have to be exactly side by side?

They don't necessarily. However, I have a space in my living room where I can fit two chairs of this size next to each other, likely with a small table in the middle. I was thinking of pairing it with another chair. I was trying to think of different ideas for the pairing. I can get the exact same chair, the same chair without the rocker, a similarly styled chair, or something entirely different. I could also just leave it on its own with a small table.

Do you have a plan of the room?

I tend to picture the side-by-side chair pairing as either being at right angles with or across from a couch.

They will be at a right angle to the couch, not like SG's. I can't have someone's head blocking my view of the television.

Then go with 2 of the same, side by side. If you have the couch, that chair and then another completely different chair next to it, it'll look off.

I placed them that way because the seating is comfortable to move around. There are No TV's in the living room! That's what the viewing room is for, put up a projector and enjoy.

I'd love to have a separate viewing room. Unfortunately, the price per square footage I'm paying prohibits that.

You should pair with an identical chair.
