Hi,

Does anyone know the difference between the classic bedale and bedale jacket? I know the olive color is considered classic. Are the fit the same between each of them?

Anyone own the Morley jacket? I just bought one in medium at a good price and have never owned a Barbour. I hope it fits!

Anyway, hope that helps and thanks again for mentioning it guys.  Oh, and if you're interested in saving a few bucks, eBates gives you a % back and after about 3 months they'll cut you a check.

Many thanks for the informative post, as I don't really follow Barbour that much (love my Bourne Camo I snagged a couple years back).  I wasn't aware that they do some pretty cool collabs and collections.  Looks like STP restocked some items yesterday and I snagged a tokito hunting jacket and a mcqueen waxed jacket for my brother's xmas present.  Was unsure about sizing, so I sized up one on the tokito and went TTS on the mcqueen, we will see how things turned out.

Oh and only if this jacket didn't have the stupid 'vulcanized rubber splatter' on it.

I love me some good aging/distressing, but sometimes designers take it way too far.

Does anyone else hate the flashy gold color on the Bedale?

I'm seriously considering asking them to replace it with the darker colored version from the Ashby. (I actually also prefer the slightly smaller collar on the Ashby).

While I could buy an Ashby instead in medium, the sleeves and body are too long for me, so I'm kind of stuck.

Would it be crazy to swap the zipper?

Anyone has experience with Barbour full leather jackets?  Are they any good?

I think the gold will dull on its own as it ages.

I have an Olive Ashby(XS) and a Fern Digby(S). So far i am quite happy with the combo I have.

I wear a collarless Uniqlo down vest inside of both jackets when the temperature drops but not to the level of needing a down parka.

Since S is the smallest Digby size and I really liked the checked sleeve patches, I kept it even though it's a little bit over sized. The sleeve isn't terribly long at all.(I wear 36S in suits and am never able to pull over any Regular sized suits). The two things I don't like about Digby are 1. Hand warmer pockets are to the side of the pockets. I just don't like this way. Maybe other folks will. 2. It does not have the button to put on a waxed hood once it's snowing.

I see olive one is called "Classic Bedale" and the other three colors are not.

I haven't got a hand on both same sized and same color.

I tried 36 classic Bedale in Olive and 34 Bedale in black and felt that the sizing is consistent.

Right now, my target is a Sage Bedale SL.

My question is: Are Bedale SL jackets chest sized(36, 38, 40. . . ) or on (S, M L)?

I wear an XS ashby and preferred a 34 regular Bedale, how should i choose on Bedale SL?

Are the Bedale SL sold on End Clothing and Country Attire the same as the Japanese versions?

My Bedale SL says L not 40 or 42... it is from Country Attire but I would have check where was made, I believe the Japenese versions are made there, right?

I have an older Bedale SL that's a 44. I also have a couple newer ones that are sized as XL.
The 44 is a lighter weight unlined one. The XLs are wool and waxed cotton, both with lining.

I spotted the Bedale SL from amazon japan and they are sized as UK34, UK 36 etc.

I hope all the sizing matters are just a matter of interpretations and also have no idea how to translate japan UK34 to Country Attire's SL S.

I have a Classic Bedale in size 38.  It's the same as my suit size.  If I have to do it again, I would go for 36 for a slimmer fit.

Not sure about the last question but the SL Bedale I bought from Stuarts of London a year or two ago is sized 36. That being said, I've seen others advertised as S/M/L etc.
