I wonder how amputation works with that skill. Like if you chopped off a limb would it magically regrow? Beheading would seem like a failsafe way to kill even those would can't be killed.

Another great episode tonight.

Some seriously crazy **** is going to go down tonight. Will be interesting to see how/if this story arc ends this year. I don't think they'll kill Sylar because he's sucha a great villain it's absurd.

I was somewhat underwhelmed but they set the bar pretty high.

Sylar / Peter confrontation was not as awesome as I had envisioned - I suppose what I expected would not have been feasible in the alloted hour.

I love that they introduced next seasons villian having Molly utter only 2 lines.

I was thoroughly satisfied.

Yeah, I agree it was pretty underwhelming.

I guess Nathan Petrelli is dead but Peter will be back next season? Can't figure out why Peter didn't just fly off by himself.

Yeah, that was a good intro but it looks like they kept Sylar alive too.... Kind of annoying. Especially what with the cockroach symbolism. Hard to believe none of the people on the scene there didn't make sure he was good and dead.

I was hoping for a bit more out of the Sylar/Peter showdown as well, but this wrapped things up to a reasonable degree. At very least, we know that the alterna-future has no possibility of happening (Nathan dies.)

It was interesting that they left open the possibility of Sylar still being at large (did he crawl down into the manhole?) However, it seems somewhat implausible that no one would have noticed him getting away...

Also, was Chuck the man who could see Molly when she tracked him? It seems implausible (he seemed like "the good guy" of the elders.) Could it be the Haitian? Someone we haven't been introduced to? Well, next season, I suppose.

+1, or why Sylar didn't just freeze Hiro in his tracks while he was running at him since he didn't seem to stop time (or just kill him as soon as he sees him, or kill Peter the same way), or why Claire didn't just shoot Peter in the first place since he can regenerate anyway, etc. There's more than a few inconsistencies in how they use their powers (as there are in most superhero movies/TV shows) but I guess they have to stretch the rules to accommodate the desired storyline. My guess would be that perhaps Peter couldn't fly while he was trying to control the nuclear power thing. As for the rest of questions, I think the writers would chalk most of it up to varying levels of control over their powers for each hero. As in Sylar couldn't concentrate enough to just slice all of their heads off at the same time, or Peter would've just exploded if he'd been shot because he would've lost control. That's all I got.

Yeah was a bit anticlimatic to me that Sylar died with just one hit after killing people over the whole season. He could have also turned invisible and no one would have seen him or can you only do one power at a time?

My favorite part was the other guy who the girl was afraid of more. That opened it up for a whole new villain.

While I really enjoyed the show, this was not stretching the rules, this was not being self-consistent, which makes the show somewhat less compelling. I mean, you can set up any set of rules, but then you have to work within the boundaries that follow from those rules if you are not to leave the viewer saying "But why didn't...?"

Sylar doesn't have the invisibility power.

He does seem to have some kind of power to die and come back to life, though, or at least partially heal himself.... E.g. when he fell off the ledge with Peter when he was going after the cheerleader, Peter was all busted up and Sylar was undamaged.

so this is what I dont get....

It appears both the Petrellis killed themselves to save the world - but how is that better than Claire shooting Peter?

Then we would have only one dead Petrelli....plus - since Peter has the tissue regen thing, he could have brought himself back until he learned how to control the nuclear hands power (like both Sylar and the original guy had learned to do).

The last two episodes left me a little unsatisfied, but still looking forward to volume 2.
