Fixing sleep patterns

Thread Starter
I've been studying full time since July, and since then have slowly become nocturnal, to the point I literally go to sleep at 5 or 6am and then get up at 3pm.

Study wise this is no problem at all, in fact my study has been going great. However my exam is at 9am in mid December and at any rate being nocturnal is not healthy or social.

Does anyone with regular experience of jet lag/ shift work have any tips on getting back to normal with minimal disruption? I don't want to lose 2 or 3 days of study feeling like a zombie

This is easy, take Melatonin.

Tylenol PM works. Try sleeping till 10AM and start sleeping at normal times moving forward.

Just stay up all night and go to bed at 10pm...

You have to man up one day and not go to sleep till the following 10pm or 11pm (so stay up for like 30+ hours before going to sleep). I'm sure you will get some good sleep that day and start to wake up/sleep like normal ppl.

Just have a big meal and get in bed at the time you want to go to sleep. Problem solved.

I agree with the melatonin suggestion. Time release tablets have work wonders for me. http://heartscanblog.blogspot.com/20...-pressure.html Another idea to reset your circadian rhythm is using bright lights. http://www.drbriffa.com/2010/02/18/n...n-the-morning/

This is what works the best.
