Hello, Trickers afficionados. As a newcomer to this thread, I feel a bit like an interloper, but I have a problem some of you may be able to advise me on.
I just today received a new pair of Trickers Epsom brogues with Dainite soles that I ordered 7 weeks ago. They seem to fit well in length and width, but I get a bit more heel slippage than I'd really like. I HATE the idea of returning them, as I'll end up paying around £50 (or more) in shipping costs by the time I get a replacement pair, which even then might not be better. They don't slip off or anything; it's just that I'm afraid that if the shoes loosen up as I wear them in that the problem might get worse.
I'm considering a pad on the tongue of the shoe. Any thoughts from the experts?
I live in a very rural small town in Colorado in the US. This is my first pair of Trickers, although not my only pair of English shoes, but it has been quite a process getting educated.
Thanks!
A Tongue Pad can work well, but you could also try a quicker and easier removeable Insole.

Thanks. I'm going to try that first before I make a final decision.

Tricker's with speedhooks

This was posted way back in December w/o any description. Anyone know where I can find these boots (or shoes)?

Is this the waxy snuff? Any thoughts or info on the waxy leather that Tricker's is using? How is it for weather resistance?

For anyone in London, Liberty are selling Bourtons in navy, grey and beige for £175. Sizes rang from 7-12.

The only place I've ever seen these shoes is at Kafka. They are getting a restock in august as I'm waiting for a size 10.

I believe Richard (Shoe Healer) also has a bulk order in for a similar shoe with a different lining, again he's expecting his order august/september.

The Bureau have some short versions of the boot.

Thanks for the leads gents.

The Bureau has so many nice makeups, but I'd still like to find the boot in the pic I posted above. hc4thehc--I think you have a pair of the Tricker's with waxy leather--happy with them?

@ mtre, I'll be giving the Shoe Healer and Kafka a ring! Thanks.

Tricker's Tec(Teak) Stow (from Tricker's factory) - another update, the 'patina' in mine is more like scuffs and dings, but I agree that the color is Ravello-like enough for me.
