Does anyone have any thoughts on the Red Wing x Rancourt styles that came out for Spring 2012?
Just picked a pair of 9142's about a month ago and can't stop wearing them.

Curious about the new crepe soled shoes that came out this spring?

My navy CXL ranger mocs were supposed to be shipping today, but today the FedEx driver walked in to my office with a package, and it was from Rancourt! :slayer:

It's definitely a pleasant surprise to have this pair of shoes arrive ahead of schedule. I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

very cool.

Kyle told me my *shoe* that I sent in could not be repaired, so they are making me a new pair.

I think I will have 3 loafers now..

My Rancourt sizing experience.
Bought a pair of RL branded beef roll penny loafers in 10.5d which is a 1/2 size down for me.
They fit fine when new but they stretched like mad so they're kind of loose now.
Since then I've purchased 2 pairs of RL branded loafers in 10d. They were very snug at first but stretched out nicely
and fit great now
So at the recent BB F&F sale I ordered a pair of the olive beef rolls in 10d.
Those ended up being way too tight to wear and didn't feel like they were going to stretch out enough so I returned them.

This is why sizing advice always requires the YMMV caveat. If I went down a whole size in the loafers I have, not only would I not be able to squeeze my foot in, but if I could my toes would have to break through the front.

Interesting that what worked for you in the RL beef rolll didn't work in the BB beef roll, though. I'd think they ought to be identical. That is mysterious.

That is a nice surprise. Photos look great. Is that the honey colored RLH sole on them?

Just get email response from Kyle:
Ranger moc is made in 800 last, loafer is made on 550 last which is narrower than 800 last.
Kyle said that 13D in loafer will feel more like 13C, so I'm listening to his advice and gonna get my brannock size.
12.5D will be superb but they don't make it.

Hoping to finalize my order soon.

Edit: going with 13B now, per Kyle updated email.

Dropped my phone and accidentally took an action pic of my new wheat cavalier ranger mocs with a brick sole (custom). Wanted a new go to shoe for this summer, that was fairly different. I know they're not for everyone but I dig em. Comfy as hell too.

Also Kyle is pretty friggin great.

These are great; I love the navy Chromexcel. That sole looks comfortable.

Just had pretty much the same email exchange, which led me to go with a pair of green shell ranger mocs on the 555 in 11.5D.

You are getting these loafers in CXL, right? My bet is that you are going to be very happy with this sizing.

These are great. I love the red sole with the wheat Cavalier. It's a striking combination and perfect for summer. Enjoy wearing them.

No heel slip issues with these? the back of your leg seems to be a bit for from the back of the shoe.

I'm digging the red sole. Nice choice on color!

Noticed that too... I think that might be because this was an action shot... Like "oh, crap I dropped my phone" action shot.
The fit is pretty spot on, tight even but I expect some stretching.
