You're too late to that one: it's out already and named Secretions Magnifiques. And it's expensive, too.

I saw something similar on a bag that repeated the Marc by Marc Jacobs in partnership with Marc Jacobs theme. Only reason I noticed it was because 1) it was hawt pink, and b) the lady holding it was well-groomed but the overall effect was like putting lipstick on an old sow.

Yes, I believe there is a picture of said bag circulating SF.

Green Irish Tweed
i think it was originally designed hundreds of years ago for spanish kings then now used by many A list actors.

Opening is similar to Cool Water but then changes into a dark green and Sandalwood scent, ending with the Creed Ambergris base that's common among their fragrances created in the past 25 years. It's good because it's easy to like, gets compliments, and is appropriate for business or casual use.

oh, for heaven's sake!

GIT is a greenish-tinged aquatic fougere that is highly reminiscent of Cool Water, except presumably made with better materials, probably a few more natural oils as opposed to synthetics, and sold at a serious premium.

GIT was composed by Pierre Bourdon (* this is a controversial point but it has some authority behind it) who - not coincidentally - also composed Cool Water, which was Davidoff's only even reasonably wearable cologne. GIT came out in 1985 to hardly any interest at all (but then again, that was pre-internet), while Cool Water - recomposed for a lower price point - came out in 1988 and was an instant best-seller.

It is a very pleasant scent. But people looking for complex challenging colognes should look elsewhere. BTW I think Silver Mountain Water is way better.

Cary Grant wore GIT and that was way before 1985. I have smelled cool water and its not even close. Nothing comes close to the GIT, but I do plan do change it up after my bottle is finished and switch to Love In Black. If you say cool water is similar to GIT. I say, from my experience, that comparison is as close as saying a Bugatti Veyron is similar to a Hyundai Accent (they are both automobiles)

I am going to have to go with T on this one. It seems like you have drunk the OMG GIT GIT GIT CREED kool-aid.

Nobody is saying it is a bad scent, but it is hardly the godsend of fragrance that everybody makes it out to be. Creed makes some decent stuff (especially in their not well known catalogue, such as Bois de Santal or Aubepine Acacia), but definitely dont believe the marketing hype that there is simply nothing out there better than Creed offerings, and that your $200 or more can`t be spent better elsewhere, or go farther.

I am always suspicious of a company that doesnt let its scents speak, but instead tries to sway you with, `WELL, did you KNOW that CARY GRANT (or XXYY celebrity/historical figure) used this fragrance?`

LOL - I'm sure said information has been graciously supplied by Creed, who have been known to put dubious, unverifiable claims out there and then backpedal, saying that the truth is in the family vaults and they're accountable to no one. Cary Grant probably wore Cuir de Russie (as did David Niven, iirc). Best I can find is that GIT was created for Cary Grant, not that he actually wore it.

Bit if you like GIT, wear it because it's a good scent, not for the marketing hype.
