hello,

i have a wide foot (g or h fitting) 7 (length), and i'm desperately trying to find shoes that look good in a wide fitting (some shoes that look good in normal fitting look bad in wide - hallam for example). i have a pair of loake aldwych in a 7.5 (go up .5 to get the width) - these shoes are OK. however, i want to buy proper pair of quality shoes

C&J
For C&J, I tried the Bedford (looks wide) and i found a pair of hallam in a "G" - both these shoes look off to me, especially the wide fitting hallam...the contrast from the widest point to the toe was just too much in my opinion.

anyways, i thought i woudl try the c&J connaught in an "f" fitting and size up. can anyone let me know the widest (my foot is wide around the small toe, so i cannot fit into a pointy shoe) EG lasts (202 maybe?) the only other option that looks OK seems to be dartmouth.

EG
EG do a "g" in any shoe, but they only carry the chelsea in a "g", and it felt tight in a 7.5. just wondering which EG woudl be most suitable. 202 perhaps?
thanks!

As for EG, the 202 last is the widest. I have the Cardiff's, size 9F, in the 202 last (here's a picture of the Cardiff's but mine are in calf... http://www.leathersoulhawaii.com/200...ew-new-mtos-2/) and I'm a 9G at C&J (the Draycott in a 9G fit me really well).

C&J Canterbury, the brown full brogue in G, is a fine shape in person, at least in the 9.5 I wear.

hello

kraftar, your cardiffs on the 202 are stunning.

juniper, thanks for your suggestion but i was after black or dark brown oxford types shoes (like hallam but too narrow in f and looks strange in g), eg chelsea, not sure about c&j bedford but fits well.

thanks for the link to the post, it was actually me that posted!

anyways, my question is which EGs would fit best, sounds like 202 last - thank you
