I heard mention of the films, or film or whatever and assumed they were trying to mimic the exploding plastic inevitable in subtle ways.

they aren't always 100% on cultural references.

they mentioned a batman tv series in season one (1960) which was WAY off.

Ballsy Pete is a good thing. Racist Rodger is even better.

What did they say? In the 40s, there were one or two Batman serials which, if I'm not mistaken, were reaired on TV during the 50s (my Dad, who was born in 1950, remembers watching them on TV when he was very young).

I did too, but kids make these leaps of logic. The first time I heard about sex (from an older cousin), I can't even really describe what I was imagining happening.

Is she? She's clearly starting to act out, but my reaction is that she seemed relatively normal and that it was everyone around her that was effed up...which will ultimately end up screwing her up as well.

I am pretty sure they just didn't show that...and in the interest of scene timing, the mother had to come in right away. Even though you would imagine it could go on for longer, it would be super awkward to just cut away from the scene to something else and cut back to the mom catching her (and even more awkward to just keep filming her face). Also...what are the odds they just told the girl how to act and she really had no idea what was going on in that scene?

Don challenged the pride of the Honda guys, Japanese are very hardcore loyalists and take pride and honor very seriously. Basically Don told them he was playing the game and if they went with CGC, they were going back on their word (honor). Good episode.

It's actually that plus more. People inherently want what they cannot have and inherently do not like to be told they are not good enough to associate/work with you. He basically told them that he was something special, he set the rules in this relationship, not them, and their money was not worth keeping given this.

So, of course, they now want him.
