Don't ask why just do it EDIT: Meant to say post amazing acoustic guitar videos in the topic title. Save the electrics for another time, this is something else entirely. 1. John Butler - Ocean 2. Leo Kottke - Medley 3. Ronnie of Botswana - Happy New Year (this one is something else)

My favorite acoustic guitar solo is the one in "November Rain".

Kazuhiro Yamashita playing a mindblowing solo version of Pictures at an Exhibition. The constant re-tuning blows my mind There used to be the whole concert on youtube, but it's gone. You can find some individual movements around. Also this version that Yamashita adapted was very controversial because most classical guitarists dismissed it as a pale imitation of the overall piece. All I can say is that Emerson, Lake and Palmer don't a candle to Yamashita.

kazuhito yamashita is great. I love his version of "the firebird suite". a fantastic guitarist but yeah he is occasionally disregarded as basically the classical version of a "shredder" in the sense that most people look down on his flashy playing as "all style no substance". it would be interesting to see solos from people other than the usual fare of : jeff beck, hendrix, halen, etc. etc.

Ewan Dobson playing Paganini's 5th caprice with a flatpick, all notes picked.

Segovia still remains my favorite acoustic guitarist of all time, and this is my favorite of his songs. Couldn't find any actual videos of him playing it though, if that's what you're looking for.

Here's a pretty good one:

Also is Miyavi attempting to emulate Kaki King? Guy should know that Visual Kei died in the late 90s.

Nice call. Love this tune. I preordered his guitar book just so I can learn it.
