The most generic/unstylish/invisible outfit a man can have? (khakis+polo shirt?)

In the office, this is the winner. I was in a room recently, and 6 of 7 men were dressed like this. It was incredible to behold.
On the weekend, I think it's the Khaki shorts & Polo short sleeve.
The question remains, which color Polo shirt is the "winner"?
White and blue striped polos seem pretty popular in downtown Chicago.

If you're under 30 the uniform is: jeans with running shoes/kicks and a faded t-shirt with some sort of indistinguishable brand logo on it (gap, A&F, etc.).
If you're over 30 the uniform is: ill fitting khakis with a bland coloured polo that has sleeves that come past the elbow and is shapeless. Shoes are usually square-toed, rubber soled, black pleather that has faded to a grey-blue around the sides of the shoes.
If you're a spy or a bank robber the only way to become even more invisible is to wear a janitor's outfit.

Faded Levi's 501s, same polo, white Reebok tennis shoes, black socks.
Polly-blend charcoal dress pants, Ecco loafers, french blue polly-blend dress shirt, white undershirt showing through at collar
Jos. A Bank/Men's Warehouse grey suit with one too many colors of pinstripe, white OCBD and patterned tie with one color matching a stripe in the suit
Just think what people wore in the 90s, which, as far as I'm concerned, was the decade epitomizing "generic" in men's fashion.

I don't mind the polo and khaki look it's the fit that's usually associated with it that makes it so unstylish.
Usually worn with a polo shirt one size too large, low armholes and sleeves so wide whenever the guy lifts his arm you can see his mass of underarm hair. Not the vision I like when I'm having lunch with some of these guys.

And the drape from buttock to calf is a straight line so basically all you see are stumps for legs.
