I'd like to put a few things up for sale, as well as buy some items, but I'm not sure how to accurately measure key points on clothing.

The FS section seemed rather hardcore, so I posted the questions in here. I hope I have not committed an enormous internet social blunder, in doing so

Ok Jacket Questions:

It appears for all usual circumference measurements, you do in fact give the diameter:

Chest: easy enough

Shoulder: where do I measure from and to where here?

Jacket length: where do I measure from and to where here?

Sleeve length: From the outside and upmost point of the shoulder pad, to the cuff?

Waist: straightforward, but where do I measure, at the buttoning point?

Ok Pants questions:

Again clearly circumferences are not given, rather diameters, is this correct?

thigh- at what point do I take the thigh measurement?

knee- at what point do I take the knee measurement? Where my natural knee point is, or a set distance, say half the inseam etc?

rise- I have no idea how to measure this, all help appreciated.

back rise- I have no idea how to measure this, all help appreciated.

Thanks All
