What will happen? I am moving and shipping a ton of boxes to a new address. Accidentally made a switch. The shipped box has some very expensive shoes in it, along with other stuff, and I am worried about it getting confiscated.

Having your shoes confiscated is the least of your worries. You could be looking at federal charges and hard time, man.

JK. One of the RubeBabes moved almost her entire apartment from Palm Springs back to the Plains via Media Mail.

If the PO catches this--and it's likely they won't--I believe that they'll charge you (as the recipient) the cost of Priority mail delivery of your parcel. They'll also send you (as the sender) a note saying that what you did was very naughty indeed--really.

I doubt *very* much that they'll confiscate your stuff.

Maftei, Remote-Bespoke, <$1000, >$500 (can't quite remember) I am really worried about this, not so much because of the shoes, but there are books and notes and such that are irreplaceable. Hopefully you guys are right.

Luckily the weight of the shoes will make it seem quite likely that the box does actually contain books.

If they didn't check/stop the shipment at the origin post office, then it is highly unlikely that there will be any issues. Worst case is they will return the package to the sender or, as someone else mentioned, make you pay the difference at delivery.

Due to USPS' poorly written shipping API, I have had packages sent and delivered to Ireland and Taiwan that did not actually have postage on the labels.

it depends on how ghetto and or nazi they are with package. if you were totally unaware then they most likely believe you. it will possibly take a lot longer for media mail to arrive especially it its really heavy.

was it packed very well and securely? was there types of media mixed into the package?

Prepare to have your front door kicked in by the U.S.P.S. in a no-knock raid.

They will also probably shoot your dog.

The USPS owns machine guns, you know.
