The new S-class looks like the bastard child of an E-class and a Maybach.

i think the Maybach was built off the chassis of an older model S-class.

I much prefer the notion that the new S-class looks like the bastard child of an E-class and a previous generation S-class

Front = E-class
Rear = Maybach/CL (especially taillights)

That video made me want an M-B. It's very impressive what they've managed to do.

Also, Chris Harris got to drive a Porsche 918:

I love the technology, looks, and the construction, but compared to the P1 and LaFerrari, the 918's not looking so hot for performance specs, but then again what normal person can actually do a full acceleration run to 300 km/h?

Also, the BMW 2-series is seen uncamouflaged, but it seems US buyers get screwed: the car will only come in automatic and xDrive, even for the M-flavored version:

Fortunately, the car is ugly.

Speaking of douchiness, I was in Hawaii earlier this week, and I saw the douchiest vanity plate ever, and would have taken a picture if I wasn't driving: A Hummer H2 with a plate that says "MNY-MGR". rolleyes.gif

He must not be managing a lot of money if he's driving around in a facelifted Tahoe.

I must have mistakenly been put on some kind of list because I'm getting literature mailed and emailed to me about the 918...including a letter from someone introducing himself as my "personal 918 consultant" . And apparently he's a racing driver, not a salesman.

Will continue to subscribe for the lols and the dreams...

The 918 doesn't float my boat at all, if I had the money I would go P1 every time, love the look of that car

It would be perfect in this colour combo.

I like the 2 series, but I like the old 1 coupe and the new 1, so....

The 125d is very close to my ideal city car and with a remap it gets 280hp and 581nm. devil.gif

I'd give it a 9 everywhere else but that grille is way too big. It's like they're trying to model it after the Ford Super Duty pickup grille.

I like the new S-class, the rear is particularly pretty for a German car.

Car looks good. My complaint is that it's longer and wider than the outgoing one. The outgoing one is big, and I often feel too big for me, thus the new one is out of the question for me. The size of an E or 5 series will suit my needs better I think.

Cars are getting bigger and bigger, so the big cars need to get bigger as well.

It does.

Gumball starts in Copenhagen tomorrow and they had a show event today with aventadors, 458's both hard and soft top, Phantoms, SLR's etc. etc. oddly enough the only car that did it for me was a 12C which "rolled by" with fully open taps. inlove.gif

I have to admit, the 12C is growing on me.
