that's pretty sick, a German engine from that era isn't even properly broken in til 10Km, maybe 20K. My grandma has a burgundy Civic 4-door that is about 6 years old now, with 10K miles on it, she is a real church lady, she made my aunt drive her cross country in it twice to get some mileage on it. She is 83 and wants a Mini Cooper because she's always had Beetles and Rabbits and small cars, but she knows she can't get rid of her 10K mi Civic for enough to justify a Mini.

No transmission related problems at all on my 2007 with 26000 miles - but I'm pretty sure that the only Lambo stuff in the car is the engine itself. The ****** (auto) is just a beefed up A8 part if I'm not mistaken.

Other than the routine suggested maintenance, the only thing done on my car has been the brake pads. Surprisingly, its been far more reliable than my BMWs and my single MB.

Oh man, I had a 2006 AMG E55 which was the shittiest car (wrapped around the best engine) in the world. It was full of cheap Chrysler plastic bits. Every time you sat in it you said to yourself "I paid how much for this garbage?" Of course, you then stomped the throttle and it took off like a dirt bike popping a wheelie. Fun.

It's quite a bit less stylish than today's thrift store finds. Oh well, my truck runs solid, is easy to work on, and cost $500.

I've always wanted one of these to haul stuff around in, but I've never seen one around here that doesn't have dangerous amounts of rust (ie: you worry about going over bumps because the struts may break right through the strut towers). Nice to see one that clean! You lucky PNWers!

That's a representative image, but mine is nearly identical and just as straight. And we are certainly lucky up here, I don't take my truck for granted at all. Jeeps in general are also very popular up here, and the knowledge base that I can draw from when it comes to maintenance is immense.

How's this sound: I'll keep my eyes open for another $500 one that is just as solid. If I see it, I'll let you know =P

my mom bought one of these brand new..she drove it for about 6 years with nothing ever going wrong with it. It was a great truck. Also don't feel bad i drive a ratty accord..but it's just a commuter while i'm in school. Meanwhile all the other kids drive new bmw m3's 5series etc..at 18 years old even saw a kid in a jaguar XK!(a 90k+ dollar car) WTF is going through these parents heads? lol
