I bought a pair on a whim last year on sale in the US.

They just didn't suit me (I didn't have any Affliction tees to match them) and my big ass doesn't suit having huge and flashy back pockets.

So I tossed them up on kijij and sold them.

Long story short, trendy jeans come and go but clean, dark and unbranded denim in straight/very slight bootcut will always be in style (doesn't have to be selvage, raw or <$300...just clean and dark and in a flattering cut).

That's like asking MC to create a thread for 4- and 6-button single-breasted suits

I guess the problem everyone has with TR/7 jeans and such is that they are unremarkable jeans that cost way more than they should. The same (or better) looks could be pulled off with jeans from levi's or hell, sears. It's like, nobody hates the ugly hooker that costs $10. But when you have an ugly hooker that is charging $5000 then you get really annoyed and ask wtf is this b*tch doing.

That's exactly how I quantify what I feel about TR and 7.

Best analogy I've seen on this topic.

That ugly hooker has one hell of a marketing team though.

mostly it's because the people that have never seen a beautiful hooker judge that the standard of a hooker is how much she charges for a *******, so they bend over and take it ********** for a huge amount of money and call it style.

I remember when I knew nothing about jeans a few years ago and thought 7's were ballin'.

I remember walking into a Winners (Canadian vers. of TJ Maxx) and seeing some TR jeans for sale, marked down to $50! I felt them, and was like, "holy ****, this denim is shittier than what I'm wearing... Who would pay $50 for these? Let alone $300." I liked 7's back then, I still have a pair of 7's as "relaxed/cleaning the house" jeans. Because they're straight cut as opposed to skinny.

meh, I like 7FAM b/c of the washes and fit of the fabric. they fit me well and elastane is comfortable. they may be expensive but can be had on Ebay etc for pretty cheap. if you showed me $40 jeans that felt and looked liked these 7FAM I would buy them. please do!
