I always liked you, Fritzl. You're like my cantankerous great uncle who always said exactly what he thought. Hurt a lot of feelings, but if you wanted it straight, he was the man to go to. When you get older, you learn that "sugarcoating" is no favor at all, and appreciate the tough-ass b@llbusters & their honesty.

Fritzl is a good bloke. Knowleadgeable and says what he thinks--gotta like that. I probably would have said that he "hated" the Dover--due to the number of posts he has on the subject--but that didn't seem right to say. He definitely has been clear on the subject. I like it--to each his own. I am betting he agrees wtih me on the shell Oundle.

As to people getting offended, if you post something online in a forum and you expect adulation, you are definitely in for a fall.

This should probably be in the Shoes With Character thread but there weren't enuff pics of shoes on this page so...

Some of my stable had a meeting with Lexol & Saphir products this am:

And before you ask, the formula is: good fit + lasted trees & proper care = no creases.

Good show! Of course it helps when you're dealing with top quality leathers, but the point is the same regardless. All (or at least most) of those ugly creases we often see posted are a result of Laziness & Poor shoe care. This is happens when you do it right. Congrats on the prostine condition of these, Nore.

I guess SF is rubbing off on me a bit. Currently my favorite pair has no big welt, 3x thick sole or exotic skin. Just extremely fine workmanship & an attention to detail that I believe rivals any I've yet seen.

Spoo put up a PSA about it here. I believe they had both wax & cream polish in several colors.
