That's like asking why clothes hangars don't have locks on them to keep them from falling off the bar spontaneously. It never happens. You can drink milk straight from the bag, almost inverting the container, and it will not fall out. I know this from experience.

Well, I'd only ask if anyone had invented hanger locks if people had said their clothes have almost slid off the hanger spontaneously or have to carefully hang their clothes on the hanger to ensure they don't slip off. I've read some comments on here and on other youtube vids of the milk bag that some people have had the bag collapse and slip out.

I miss milk in a bag...it was basically all you could get when I was a kid growing up in Ottawa.

I pour milk into a glass, or drink it out the carton. Something about drinking milk through a straw is incredibly off putting.

No bagged milk in Western Canada. Jugs and cartons only. I actually met the guy who introduced the plastic jugs to the west. If it wasn't a business meeting I would have punched him, since the plastic jugs completely ruin the taste.

Did you at least mention he ruined the taste?

Still bags of milk here - no jugs, but there are some cartons. The cartons are only 2 Litre instead of 4 like the bags, so I go with the bags.

We kinda have milk bags here, aswell as cartons and bottles. The bags have a kinda foam built into one side for a handle and a double plastic layer bottom so it can stand up. Made by Ecolean.

That is strange. Not what I expected to see.

When I was a kid in the 90's I spent some vacations visiting relatives in Mexico. Soda there was only sold in glass bottles which were reused, so you had to bring in an empty bottle for each full one you took with you. Or, for us kids, they'd pour it into a plastic bag and knot it with a straw so you could leave the bottle there. And there would always be men standing outside stores drinking beer so they could leave their empties.

Your story reminds of when i ordered cane juice in at a Singapore stall and they put it in a plastic bag. I told them i wanted it in a cup so they charged me 10 cents extra.

This milk in a bag seems bizzare to me. Glass bottles are the way to go. Everything tastes better in glass.

That's why I commented on his technique. You seat the bag by cracking it against the heel of one hand, or even just drop the container on the table once or twice. As with most things, operator error makes people think designs are faulty

We need to find a way to reduce that by reducing the number of operators.

I'm from southern Ontario and I've never consumed milk that wasn't from a bag. I see cartons at some grocery stores, but its like $3.79 for a 2L carton versus $3.99 for 4L in the bags.
