Has anyone used Geoffrey Lewis talors in DC? Their website is http://geoffreylewisltd.com/ I found them from a google search, but the only reviews Ive seen refer to their tux rental service. I emailed them to ask about the construction of their suits, and below is the response I got the next day. Full canvass, plenty of hand work, done offsite in NY. He says they are not MTM, but without any fittings I definitely wouldnt call it bespoke. I'll probably try them out for some trousers first, they offer three pairs for $449. I havent been in yet to see their work, just wondering if anyone else around here has any experience with them?

Our jackets are made with a full floating canvass and nothing is fused. Regarding the work that is done by hand on the jacket, the button holes, lining, under the collar, armholes, and hand stitching on the lapels is all done by a Master Tailor. The only machine work that is done is on the seams...that's it. My father Angelo is the Master Tailor but our garments are not fully made in the store, although he can create a suit and can do any alterations that are needed. We use a designer and Master Tailors that are based in New York to produce our garments, nothing is sent over seas.
For most of our clients we do not do a fitting unless requested. We are able to take the correct measurements and produce a proper fitting suit but if you would like to have a fitting that is something that we can accommodate. We find that if a person has a body that is tough to measure, then we will do a few fittings. We are not Made to Measure, our suits are tailor made and are cut individually and a blue print is kept for all our clients. Your pattern is kept with our designer and we make sure to re-take measurements if someone feels that may have gained/lost weight.
I would be more then happy to show you what fabrics we have and would love to answer any more questions you may have. We guarantee all our work at Geoffrey Lewis Ltd, and would be happy to show you some finished garments. Feel free to reply back if I have missed anything or give us a call as well.

Thank you for your response,
