I've always wanted to international klein blue it up Hubertus Bigend style.

I picked up the electric blue and cobalt blue suits jil sander SS suits from a year or two ago to live out my fantasy, but neither is really IKB enough. I think if the two were mixed it'd be closer... the electric blue is a little bit too light and I think the cobalt blue doesn't quite that have the brightness/intensity of IKB but of course I only know IKB from digital images and that's a flawed understanding since IKB is not monitor friendly.

Either way super excited because I finally have a chance to wear them to weddings this year so finally getting them tailored.

Margiela electric blue summer jacket (from MMM store not Mr Porter, I hate Mr Porter):

Everybody got that? Merchant identity has now joined brand name and -- lately -- fabric content as something communicated to assert individuality and status.

(I like the jacket, though, don't think I've ever seen a rounded-square patch breast pocket before)

Uh I'd hardly quote Fuuma as a shining example of someone who tries to communicate or assert individuality/status through brand name, fabric content let alone merchant identity.

is there a non suede version of these?

No RTW version but Massaro mainly makes shoes for haute couture (Chanel) and can accomodate your custom needs. Now they are only sold in some Japanese store and at the Paris showroom which is basically an apartment displaying HC women's and bespoke men's shoes and where you need to ring. I doubt they take phone orders.

Note: RTW is done by Edward Green to prestige standards but designed by Massaro, EG doesn't even do zip boots and certainly has never made a shoe with such a nice shape. Shoes are €950 and boots €1300 including shoe trees which is a relatively good price, even compared to current Green offering. I don't think they'll stay that way as they entered the men's market only recently. Boots fit 1/2 to 1 size big and shoes are true to size. Bespoke is €3500-4000 and up, depending on your needs.

I've worn mine a lot since purchasing them including in some pretty dirty place and they seem to hold up ok but I don't brush suede so they might look a little messy right now.

Mr Porter comments: yeah I really dislike the store, its promo articles, the style sponsors or whatever, the stupid posts about it on SF and the ugly buys. However the pic of the jacket I found was from Mr Porter. I went to the MMM store in Palais-Royal and saw this jacket, had to get it from the Saint-Germain location. It is one of the few items I like from the current season.

Prestige is JLP terminology, not EG. EG's top tier is called Top Drawer

And EG "certainly has never made a shoe with such a nice shape" ? Come on man...

These are nice boots - mabrouk

No, really. I find Corthay or Massaro to be infinitely better designed than EG or, to a lesser extent, Lobb. EG bores me to death and I associate it with MC members with erectile disfunction cause by yuppie rage, which doesn't help. I'm not into english shoes in general, finding them stale. Hell I don't own english shoes, although this pair could be the exception, depending on how you see things.

right, top drawer, very lame name but better than "prestige", which sounds incredibly arrogant.
