Because if you're utilitarian about one thing you should be about everything else? People are interested in some things more than others, dude. I mean I am not THAT into cars, I'm okay if it gets me from point A to point B, does that mean I should be buying my clothes at wal mart or whatever the sartorial equivalent of a Honda is?

I'll actually probably be kopping a Lexus as my next vehicle for comfort reasons, just to give myself the lie a bit, but the fascination some people have with cars doesn't make sense to me. Just as I'm aware it doesn't make **** all sense to a lot of people to spend 300+ on lanvin lows.

**** how did I manage to get into this discussion again.

^ +1000 on that one. speaking of lanvin lows wasn't 100% sold on the taupes, but these are my favorite of the two.

No, just found some irony in the context. Don't take it so strongly! I get what you mean. To each their own; arguments about computing preferences are the dumbest **** ever. If there were more companies making elegant Windows machines I might still be on the platform. Sony is the closest but their machines have a bad, cheap tactile feel IMO.

They are also way out of wack for retail pricing.

I use a P.C (as I still play a couple games, sup League of Legends) but ill be getting a MacBook Pro 13' for my next university degree later this year. My sister broke my old MacBook.

The battery life is crazy and the trackpad size + overall quality is awesome.

the retail pricing is much more than a standard laptop but for the reason you stated it's worth it. also, when it comes time to sell one 1-2 years down the road to upgrade, they hold their resale unlike any windows based computer.

Price is actually not bad if you avoid in-store upgrades and use stuff like govt/student discounts (saves tax at least, depending where you buy). You can double your ram for an eighth of the apple store price, for example. These kinds of options allow you to buy a low or mid tier machine and juice it up to perform even better at a fraction of the cost.

thats true. i think i got mine right before they lowered the base prices of them. add on a student discount and it is a solid value.

Bit offtopic but what did you think of LoL compared to HoN? I used to play DotA religiously, I'm just getting into LoL and loving it so far but have heard HoN is more authentic, though pretty similar. Personally I think they went a bit overkill with the runes, boosts, masteries, unlock system etc. etc. but I'm still new to it all.

League of Legends is pretty bad compared to DotA and HoN. Less skill involved (no last hitting, attack animations are pretty bad) imo.

Edit: HoN is basically DotA with better graphics. There are a few different heroes in HoN, and it might feel a little faster pace too.
