My post doesn't represent the moderators, or Styleforum, this is just me talking.

First, Styleforum hasn't historically taken a strong hand in terms of member conflicts. We're all adults here, right? By this time in your life, you should have learned to deal with conflicts and mitigate or avoid them. But here you are.

You put forth an interesting exchange with Matt - which to me demonstrates that you are treated fairly when you're not taking unsupportable positions. Elsewhere, your threads (podcast, for instance) haven't attracted any hassle. That to me indicates that no one is out to get you. You just get slapped around when you say dumb things. The message I read from this is: Make Better Posts.

If you want to talk about getting hassled and trolled, talk to Manton. He's put up with more shit than anyone I can think of off-hand.

Another point. We're about the same age, and I know some of what you're going through. But by this time in our lives, most of us have had something similar to deal with. In fact, I can't think of anyone who's made it to 40 without some big disruption in their lives - so you've got my sympathy, but understand you're not the only one dealing with big hassles - so don't expect special accommodation on that front. I've stepped away from the forum at times when I found myself getting sideways. Nothing wrong with that, lots of us do this.

I also want to remind you that it takes two to tango. Don't expect to call someone out as a troll and not expect a reply.

First idnfaksdfl, it is forum, not fora, and the plural form is "fori", you pathetic fuckwit.

Second, I don't know when you've ever asked me to chill out, you've been on ignore for a long time and yes, you're still on it but I heard there was drama with you so I skimmed your screed.

How are things in Copenhagen? I spent about two weeks there a few years ago. Nice city, way too expensive found a very good bakery near my hotel. Oh and then those tiny little apples were addictive as hell.

I respect your view and I hear your message, and believe you're largely correct. I've already made adjustments to my posting style. I get that I'm an outlier and an easy target, but there are limits. When someone tells you 'hey, hard time here, please lay off' the list of acceptable responses probably doesn't include 'ya, that happened to me too so go fuck yourself'.



And no, many of us are really not adults in here. A 9 year old can create an account. That can be real or emotional age, depends on the person.

They were small, a very deep dark red, almost black. And I mean they were very small, about the size of a clementine. Pretty sure a native cultivar, or at least northern European. Ate about 30 in my time

What I keep wondering, edinatlanta, is if you have me on ignore (and please keep it that way) then why do you troll me (on the fora)? Isn't ignore for people you don't actually want to communicate with? Or for lead foots like you it's something else entirely different?

I've said it 100 times. If I'm paid I'll change my avatar. Someone will eventually pay. Why don't you start a collection? You seem to have tons of free time to be an asshole, try doing something useful. Or just leave me the fuck alone?

Ed's a gaping asshole, but shit like this isn't going to distance you from him. Change the avatar because everyone is tired of looking at a pair of hairy asscheeks. Not because its part of some pseudo-stand of yours to show your individuality and maintain control of your 'online persona'. You'd engender much more goodwill what that simple gesture than any change in posting style.

idfnl - my recommendation to you, if you sincerely want things to simmer down, log off for a full week. dont read a word on SF. no PMs. nothing. after a week, reevaluate how you want to post and how you want to experience the forum. out of sight out of mind is usually the best way to move on here, ime, not coming to transmod and starting a drama-fest. just my advice. do as you see fit.
