Vo/HF - fantastic stuff. I have realized that I like SB overcaots much better than DBs. Thanks to both of you for sharing these photos.

Moo - That overcoat is a gem. Consider me officially jealous!

I'm not Vox, but I'd be damned if I can't recognize those. They are C&J for polo darlton full strap penny loafers (in brown shell cordovan). I recently bought a pair ... terrific shoes.

Thank you. It is an Oxxford MTM "covert" coat done up in herringbone Emperor's Cashmere. It's not a real covert for a number of reasons, but it has the stitched finishing at the sleeves and hem.

It was a pleasure skinning that Muppet. I hate Muppets.

Mine or vox's? My long plaid DB is RLPL.

Zara, believe it or not, and it's a really (really!) heavy cotton with IIRC a quilted lining.

It was worth the surgery; this looks fab. I'd probably want another inch of length on it, if it were mine.

And I mean, to the length of the coat, you jerks.

Thanks, C. You can get a sense of how thick the coating is by looking at the envelope pocket flaps.

It was barely enough wool to prevent my demise from exposure when taking this shot outside.

I believe Cleopatra made her grand entrance in a similarly thick carpet.

Seriously, looks very cool, esp. those peak lapels.

Vox, EFWâ„¢ RL Polo: I have what appears to be the same coat in navy, with a couple of small differences - no breast pocket; only one lapel button-hole. Otherwise looks identical - detail on the hem and lapels, pockets, angle of lapels, button placement etc.

As HF prefers, mine comes down a bit more (although at 5'8", that's also inevitable

). I prefer heavier coats to be long.

Heavy thing.

You have nice collection of coats, however I think this one is ridiculously long. Looking back at your pictures I can say that you should avoid wearing long (below the knees) coats.

I think that he has the stature to wear full length well. Maybe you just don't like long coats.
