It's even more embarrassing in person.

So which is worse - a Japanese luxury auto maker looking to a budget Korean auto maker for inspiration or a budget Korean auto maker looking to luxury German auto makers for inspiration?

If Infiniti looked to the Tiburon for their inspirations (which I doubt), they oughta be ashamed of themselves.

An American car maker looking to... whatever the hell they look at ?

A German auto maker looking to a building?

I dunno. inspiration is strange.

Thanks, that was my last car ('92 Q).

Photos of the new M look good but I think it'll look more boring in person. Underneath it's basically a G35/G37 drivetrain/platform, so I don't understand the 10K premium on the current model over the G35/37 for a bigger body and a few more bells & whistles. It should sell well for a year or two.

Is the new Nissan Maxima built on the same platform? A new Maxima passed me this morning and it reminded me of the pics for the Infiniti M.

Maxima shares the same platform with the Altima (both FWD).

Maybe you misunderstood, it's not a positive comparison.
